As if the Nexus 6’s alleged back design (unofficial render) wasn’t busy enough — let’s add a Verizon logo in there…
Get out your salt shakers ladies and gents, as a new report from Pocket Now claims that they have received word that Verizon will be among the carriers that will stock the Motorola Nexus 6. Yes, the carrier that handled the Galaxy Nexus so poorly and hasn’t done much better with the Nexus 7 (2013) either.
Verizon isn’t exactly known as being dev/modder friendly, and is easily one of the worst US carriers in this regard. Still, it’s also the biggest and (arguably) most popular US carrier thanks to impressive coverage range, so anything is possible. Pocket Now’s source doesn’t divulge anything about pricing or availability, only saying that Verizon is “ready to embrace the next Nexus phone, and is gearing-up to add the Nexus 6 to its selection of devices.”
As we mentioned straight from the beginning, speculation is highly advised and if you are a Verizon customer we certainly wouldn’t recommend that you get your hopes up just yet. Still, if the Nexus 6 is coming to Big Red, would you be interested in picking it up? Do you think Google would be willing to give Big Red another chance at carrying a Nexus phone?
