Samsung is fearless when it comes to taking risks, which often puts its products in very unique categories. The Korean manufacturer is said to be stepping into new territory (again) very soon. Three stunning tablets have just been leaked and they will be Samsung’s creme de la creme.
Code-named “Klimt”, “Chagall” and “Warhol”, the upcoming devices’ screens are said to measure in at 8.4″, 10.5″ and 13.3″ respectively. While they will all boast different sizes, none will sacrifice in screen quality. If the leak proves to be real, all tablets will have a WQHD screen (otherwise known as QHD), with 2560x1440p resolution.
Also important to note is the fact the “Warhol” will carry the biggest display found on any Samsung tablet. Such a device would further blur the line between netbooks and pads. It could prove to be a much better media device than an average tablet, as well as a more portable alternative to a small laptop.
Two versions of each model are in the works, one being WiFi-only and the other offering cellular data connectivity. The leaked table specifies “3G” connectivity, but this might just be a non-specific way to state the device will have cellular antennas. We somehow doubt such high-end tablets would be limited to 3G speeds.
Other specs are still a mystery, but we wouldn’t be too surprised if these new Samsung tablets are as powerful as the recently-leaked Samsung Galaxy Tablet S, which could very well be the 10.5-inch Chagall. If this proves true, we could get an octa-core Exynos processor, 3 GB of RAM, an 8 MP rear-facing camera and even a fingerprint reader.
We don’t know a lot about these upcoming tablets just yet, but we’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for more details as they arrive.
